The CD cover was drawn by the soprano in the group, Cindy Anderson. One day while walking the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine, she was contemplating Daniel's difficult life-a life lived in grace and joy to the very end. She looked at deep and certainly treacherous, dark water. She looked at a very high cliff that was clearly impossible to negotiate.....slippery and unyielding. The lighthouse seemed too far away. Too distant to offer solace or safety. Then, she spotted a flower. No doubt with little sunlight. Terribly little soil. Struggling. It was growing. She thought of GRACE and the song that we all love so much. It is the title of the CD, "The Color of Grace." She realized that when grace appears-amid the impossibility and the depth of despair
.All you see IS Grace!! It's color bids the darkness fade into the background of life. It shouts to all, "I am here. I am available. See me. Focus on God's grace and your picture of life will be radically and forever altered.
We asked Cindy to be the artist for the cover of our CD. When asked to explain what made the picture come together, she said, "I imagined my darkest deepest pain and what it must have felt like for Daniel standing at his abyss. Pain is pain and is felt in different circumstances by everyone, but even when it seems impenetrable God finds a little crack during the hardest times of our lives to bring beauty and meaning once again."
We consider this a work of ministry and justice and redemption. Grace is available for all. We ask that you consider who might NEED to hear this. Help us spread the word that grace is alive and well.
Hopefully,
Judy
