Words and Music By Judith Hanlon Copyright 1999 The Story: We are not called to "do" witnessing. We are called to "be" witnesses. The story of grace should be much more our essence than our words. We should exude grace. God did the work of love and mercy on the Cross of Calvary. God has no other hands by which to dispense Heaven's grace. We must be the color of grace to illumine redemption's tapestry. Written while Daniel was alive considering that his home church had been, indeed, the Color of Grace to Daniel. The Song: Verse 1 From creation to eternity on God's canvas of life We're the light of mercy brought to dark strife The brilliance of our colors can only be realized When we're painted on the canvas through the Master's eyes. Chorus Do you see me Creator, as your color of peace Could you paint me as justice on your masterpiece? Am I a lighthouse on the black night's sea Is the color of grace shining through me. Verse 2 Each day is a treasure in God's master plan We render beauty by being God's hands By healing and holding the lost and the despised We bring out the color of the love in God's eyes. (Chorus) Verse 3 I am called to illumine redemption's tapestry Woven on the paths that lead to Calvary With Esther and Abraham, Mary, Daniel and John I'm part of the picture as the ages roll on.
